4WD   © 4WD Mitsubishi or Isuzu- 20 seats front facing air-conditioned vehicle. Our 4WD’s (16 - 20 seaters) have spacious cabs with ample legroom and forward facing seats for increased comfort and a better view for greater appreciation of the scenery.
Suitability:
Level 3  fitness  © Hikes up to 9kms or more per day. Warning: Tours graded with ‘3 Boots’ are only suitable for very fit people who enjoy basic bush camping and can hike 5-9kms a day over uneven terrain often in high temperatures.
Staying:
Semi permenant tent © Semi-Permanent Campsites - tents must be erected by guide and passengers, share showers and toilets, no cooking facilities except those carried on the vehicle.

Bush Camps - no facilities other than those that are carried on the vehicle. Passengers sleep in swags (Aussie bedroll). The tour will stop along the way at roadhouses for clients to have a shower etc. Bushcamping

Temperatures can be extreme i.e. very high during summer days and very cold during winter nights. The operator reserves the right to assess the fitness capability of passengers prior to tour departure. Tour is not suitable for children. Due to the remote nature of the Kimberley region we use bush camps with limited facilities on some nights. There is a STRICT LUGGAGE LIMIT of 15kgs per person, in a backpack or soft bag.

Day 1 - Broome to Windjana Gorge (BC)
Out of Broome we stop briefly at Willare Bridge, where a rushing torrent of water flows in the mighty Fitzroy River during the wet season. From here we leave the bitumen behind as we head for the Oscar Range and on to Tunnel Creek, where a 750 metre tunnel passes under the Napier Range. The area has a rich bushranger history - ask your guide for the true story!

Day 2 - Windjana Gorge to Mt Barnett (C)
We explore Windjana Gorge (there's loads of freshwater crocodiles here!) before we hit the track again to travel along the famous Gibb River. Depending on the time of year, we may be able to explore Galvins or Adcock Gorge, before setting up camp at Manning Gorge.

Day 3 - Gibb River Road and Gorges (BC)
Today it's time for swimming and hiking in the Kimberley's! Explore the striking Manning gorge and time permitting, we head into Barnett Gorge. Your experienced Guide will use their local knowledge to determine the best gorges for you to explore. We're in for another night under the stars at our bush camp.

Day 4 - Gibb River Road to El Questro Station (C)
We pass through some ancient and spectacular country as we travel along the Gibb River Road. Crossing the Pentecost River, we reach the famous El Questro Station. We walk into the beautiful Cockburn Ranges for a swim under the waterfall at Emma Gorge before retiring for the night.

Day 5 - El Questro to Bungle Bungles (BC)
Today sit back and admire the awesome scenery of the Carr Boyd and Durack Ranges as we head to Turkey Creek. We take a challenging 4WD trip into the Bungle Bungle (Purnululu) National Park for sunset over the Osmond Ranges and our overnight camp.

Day 6 - Bungle Bungle NP (BC)
It's a full day of exploration today. The rock formations of the Bungle Bungles massif are remarkable and we visit breathtaking Echidna Chasm and the overwhelming and magnificent Cathedral Gorge. There's time to get another perspective of the Bungles by helicopter if you choose (at own expense) before we head back to our overnight bush camp.

Day 7 - Bungle-Bungles to Kununurra (C)
It's time for some 4WD action as we wind our way out of the Bungle Bungles on our way to Kununurra. Time permitting we will have the opportunity to explore the Hidden Valley, just a stones throw from Kununurra township.

Day 8 - Kununurra to Fitzroy Crossing (C)
Departing early from Kununurra on our journey back to Broome, we make our way to Halls Creek. Hear the stories of Russian Jack and the beginning of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and time permitting, visit the China Wall and Caroline Pool just out of Halls Creek. We continue our journey on towards Fitzroy Crossing and our overnight campground nearby the Fitzroy River.

Day 9 - Fitzroy Crossing to Broome
We rise early this morning, pack up camp, and make our way towards Geikie Gorge. We have time here to take the Reef Walk or a Gorge Boat cruise (optional), before continuing our journey back to Broome.

• Itinerary may vary and/or attractions be substituted due to seasonal conditions, weather extremes particularly in November and April when the Gibb River Road and Bungle Bungle NP may be closed. Tradtional owner and national park requirements.
• The above program should only be used as a guideline and tour guides may change programs at their discretion to suit the specific interests of their group.
• Safaris must be reconfirmed by 4pm the day before travel direct with the tour operator.
